The Coach QUESTION:
One of our readers [Jannelle] asked me- “Hey London! Quick question… do you know anything about coach? just looking at this website and i dunno if i want to buy them cuz i dont know if they are real or not! ha my friend just bought a bunch from there but im not so sure…“
WEBSITE IN QUESTION: http://www.coachoutletonlineh.com/
London’s Coach “Outlet” Answer:
So Jannelle, here’s the skinny [which by the way- that phrase does not reference skin as “thin”. just a little FYI]… Coach is a designer brand that treats their products like queens! Their purses, scarves, perfumes, ect are all so well guarded that there are only THREE ways to purchase an authentic “COACH” bag, or whatever you are buying…
1.) Walk into Coach and fork over the cash
2.) Go to Coach.com and fork over the cash
3.) Walk into a Coach Outlet STORE and fork over a bit less cash than normal…
That is it!! There is NO other way!! I say this because you cannot even CALL into a Coach Outlet, tell them what you’d like, give them your creditcard, and have the item shipped… They will not do it!! That is for 2 reasons: 1.) They don’t want to ship an item off if there is any way possible that your card doesn’t go through and they can’t hold you in the store…. and 2.) They do not want the legitimacy of their product questioned.
So I am sorry & glad to report that any ONLINE designer Coach OUTLET is actually a fraud :C / : D.
[you know what’s funny… I’d wear none of this!!
Coach is not my best friend or love, ha, sorry!!]
why LONDON MOORE doesn’t buy designer clothes…
Well, to say the least… I don’t like “labels”. I went to a high school where kids were handed Mercedes and Hummers for their birthdays and 14 year old girls walked around in True Religion jeans with their Juice purses hanging off their shoulders. Labels are DESIGNED for the “money sign”: people wear them to show that they have enough money to purchase the item… Not only that BUT-
they are made for “all styles” [for the masses so that every girl and boy/ lady and man will identify with that style], so they are usually generic and not too innovative in style… A 14 year old could wear it, and a 40 year old could wear it and it’d be just fine. Beyond brilliant marketing plan- especially since people fall for it…. Designers like Juciy, Louis Vuitton, Burberry, Coach, ect… all have a specific “logo” “image” or “pattern” that is their selling point. People see a woman in a taupe plaid scarf with red and black lines- you KNOW she is wearing Burberry!! This shows that she has money, and lots of it to just toss 375 quid on a scarf!! It also is the same scarf that about a million other women are wearing [weather authentic or not]. That is ANOTHER issue….
[nice original style ladies & gent….]
we [people] are so obsessed with designer-anything that we’d spend 3 and a half paychecks on “AUTHENTIC” ___[put your guilty pleasure label here]___ that we’d sacrifice our rent just to look like we HAVE enough money to buy whatever item. Confessions of a Shopaholic is a GREAT example of this…
MAYBE You Just Like the Designs… But a Louis Vuitton CONDOM… Really?!
Okay…All in all, you spend a boat load of cash to have something everyone else already has…. BUT if you really like the design of a COACH purse or a pair of JUICY sweats- then that decision is ALL YOURS!! However, you have to admit that labeling is really an issue when Louis Vuitton comes out with a CONDOM and people are gitty over it… I suppose there is nothing like class when you are out and find a one-night-stand, to reach in your purse and pull out a Louis Vuitton condom….. If people are so enthralled with labels and designers that we sacrifice our other needs [like rent, food, other bills, ect…], sacrifice our worth [by thinking your worth is conveyed by what you wear or have…], or sacrificing ANYTHING just to get your hands on SOMETHING “designer”- that you’d actually purchase a $68 Louis Vuitton condom… Then something is REALLY wrong…
