To All my BusyBee’s, I Present to You: MAKEUPBEE “A Fun Way to Discover New Looks & Makeup Products”

Searching for New Makeup Inspiration, My Little Londoners?

Confessional:  Working full time in the wedding industry is phenomenal fun!  It is also phenomenal work!  So I do apologize for my lack-o-looks this past month.  Shame on myself, I know.  You know it’s bad when your husband says, “Love, when was the last time you did a makeup blog?”……  Oops!

So, I believe every apology should be accompanied by a GIFT!  And so without further ado…  Here is mine to you!!

Find London Moore on MakeupBee

MakeUpBee… What is it?  It is like Facebook for the “makeup-ly creative”.  This site is like a vault, filled to the brim with thousands of different looks, styles, personalities, products, and colorful amazing-ness; the code for the vault, you ask: join through Facebook as you are in!!  So, the next time I am pulled away from my blog to hand wedding-madness…. here is a “London-Approved” site that is not out to mail your e-mail address to everyone they know, or charge you to get inspiration!  They are purely for the joy of creativity in the form of makeup-art!

…and if you are looking for a makeup challenge….

MakeUpBee hosts (I believe…) monthly competitions with different themes, inspirations, and prizes!!  I just joined this months 2 minutes ago- the theme is “MARIE ANTOINETTE”, in celebration of Lime Crime’s new line “Palette D’Antoinette”.  I believe the prize is the palette as well- which, of course, anything Lime Crime or Sugar Pill I am dying to get my hands on!!  And I have no products of theirs- but people swear by them- so I want my readers to know weather I swear by them or not too ; ) !!

When in Need… Check MakeUpBee

The moral to this story my friends: (of course keep reading my blog, because I love your visits & comments, buuuut….) check MakeUpBee for new fun looks, artists, products, reviews, tutorials, etc… and let me know your thoughts!!  There are dozens of makeup communities out there- but MakeUpBee is my favourite and (for now) the only one I keep up to date with!!

Rihanna’s Fiery Eye Makeup

There’s A Fire In Her Eyes!!

There is no doubt that imitation is the BIGGEST form of flattery!!  And makeup is the church of copycats!!  Rihanna’s GORGEOUS yellow, orange, red, and black makeup is beyond inspirational, and makeup artists around the world have either redone this look exactly OR done a spin off.  These colours together are beyond spectacular!!  Check out the work of the artists!!

London Moore’s 12 Days of Christmas Special: And on CHRISTMAS DAY- Nothing but JOY

London Moore’s 12 Days of Christmas Special: And on CHRISTMAS DAY- Nothing but JOY

London Moore’s 12 Days of Christmas Special:

…And on Christmas Day…

JOY!!  Ann Lamott said “The BEST makeup is joy” and I have to say that I fully heartedly agree!!  Christmas is a time for family and friends; a time to put all grudges and anger aside; to consider what this holiday truly means to YOU.  And as a makeup artist, I have to say: if it is about looking your best and picking out the right outfit and perfect makeup- then you need to revaluate!!

I chose my inspiration below based off of natural beauty- people or pictures that fully embody joy and natural beauty, being comfortable in ones own skin.  Remember being kids and running to the tree in your pj’s with your hair completely a mess?! BUT you were so happy that Christmas had finally arrived that nothing about how you looked even crossed your mind…

Well this Christmas, try and get joy and natural beauty to be your only holiday makeup :]

3 Minute Makeup: A Makeup How To for Selena Gomez 2011 Music Video “Love Song”

How to Do Easy & Quick Makeup like Selena Gomez Love you Like a Love Song:

“LOVE SONG” by Selena Gomez is not only one of the catchiest songs I’ve heard since Alexandra Stan’s “Mr.Saxobeat”-BUT she also has incredibly catching  eye makeup that ca be seen in the Selena Gomez pictures I have posted.  I rarely advise anyone to do a “Duo-Salm” [where you make BOTH your lips and eyes pop], I am more of the “Salm-One” type [majorly highlighting one feature].  HOWEVER Ms. Gomez pulls off the Duo-Slam  very well, and not only does she look stunning, but how to do the makeup is sublimely easy!!

Fall Fashion 2011: The New “Non-Cliche” Holiday Nail Polish Colours & Katy Perry’s OPI Nail Polish Collection

The New “Non-Cliche” Holiday Colours…

Hey everyone!!  Well, Happy Saturday!!  It is getting closer and closer to the holidays: Thanksgiving, Hanukkkah, Christmas, and Boxing Day… PLUS whatever else you celebrate!!  So I decided that while BLACK FRIDAY looms closer and closer, I’d just put up some festive holiday nail polish colours that maybe you can swipe for a better price on the day after Thanksgiving.  Now usually everyone sticks to the greens & reds over the holiday season– and I have never been one for the cliche [unless it is meant to be… like a Tacky Christmas Sweater Party], so I have put up new inspiration for holiday colours. You want to think up a clever name for which ever you choose so that if anyone asks about your colour you can say, “oh I just love Black nails, and plus this is inspiration from Santa’s Soot!” or “Reindeer fur!” for the chocolate browns and taupes!  Ha, just have fun with it… of course I picked out some great “cliche colours”, so have at it if that is your choice!!

Katy Perry’s OPI Nail Lacquer- Also PERFECT Holiday Colours!!

Annnd she did it… This girl does amazingness wherever she goes!!  Katy Perry is not just a triple-threat…  Now adding her nail polish collection from OPI to the list, she must be a hundreds-threat…  Well, anyhow…  The Katy Perry OPI Collection has five gorgeous nail colours- and any polish by OPI will of course be wonderful quality and worth any shinny penny!!  This is also introducing the OPI Shatter or Crackle Nail Polish that Katy introduced as “Black Shatter”… Not terribly creative with that name- HOWEVER, every other polish is a title of a hit song of hers.  Now I would most certainly say that all of these colours would be wonderful holiday nail polish choices- depending on the look you are going for!!  I would say the best being “The One That Got Away”- it’s a cranberry colour, and what more says non-cliche holidays like CRANBERRIES!!

Cheers everyone!
