London Moore’s 12 Days of Christmas Special: And on the 4th Day of Christmas- AN OPEN FIRE [Yellow, Oranges, Brown, & Red] Inspired Makeup Tutorial

London Moore’s 12 Days of Christmas Special:

…And on the 4th Day of Christmas…

Chestnut roasted on an OPEN FIRE!  My hubby was singing that song out last night, and I thought colours of a nice Christmas fire place would be perfect for my tutorial today.  I love this look because although it is very bold and brilliant- it is also wearable if paired with the right outfit.  A nice red cocktail dress for a party, or jean and a white wife-beater [i hate that name…] tank.  Dress it up or down, but you’ll always be complimented on it!!

On The 4th Day of Christmas [Picture] Tutorial:

Cover your lid in NYX Eyeshadow base [as usual].  If you are new to LMB- the reason why we use this product in our daily makeup is because the base not only holds eyeshadow on your lid longer but it makes your eyeshadow colours pop.  This is will be very evident in our look today!!

Use the matte yellow colour from ELF’s 144 palette and start in the inner corner of your eye- then keep padding it out 3/4 of the way across your lid.  Then repeat this with MAC’s GOLDENROD- just popping it right on top on the matte yellow.  Keep he colour UNDER your crease line.  We’re doing a rainbow technique, which means we’re building UP rather than out.

Now, using your GOLDEN ORANGE from NYX, build your rainbow technique on top of the yellow colours.

Take NYX eyeshadow AFRICA and start on the outter corner of your eye [on the side] and blend the red up and out around the orange.

Now in a small triangle [where the blended yellows & orange meet the red] pop in MAC’s COPPERING eyeshadow- then blend.

it is difficult to see in this shot- buuuut take MAC’s EMBARK and from the end of your outer eye [where you would wing your eyeliner] make a small wing of the deep brown eyeshadow- lightly.

Then blend it seamlessly into the red & copper colour.

Now working bellow your waterline- start from the inner corner of your eye and put on the colours in this order:  GOLDENROD, GOLDEN ORANGE, AFRICA [red], and lastly EMBARK [deep brown].  Just do little lines and then blend them all together.

Then pop in “VANILLA SHIMMER” as your brow bone highlighter.

YOUR FINISHED LOOK ON THE EYES.

The lips have COLORESCIENCE PRO as the lipliner in “NUDE”, NYX lipstick in yummi “PUMPKIN PIE”, and on the center of your lips [for some extra pout] use LANCOMES juicy tube “SIMMER”.

Est c’est fin!

London Moore’s 12 Days of Christmas Special: And on the 5th Day of Christmas- SUGAR PLUM DREAMS [Pink & Purple] Inspired Makeup Tutorial

London Moore’s 12 Days of Christmas Special: And on the 5th Day of Christmas- SUGAR PLUM DREAMS [Pink & Purple] Inspired Makeup Tutorial

London Moore’s 12 Days of Christmas Special:

…And on the 5th Day of Christmas…

Sugar Plums danced in our heads!!  Hi everyone- Christmas is getting nearer and nearer!!  And as we get closer and we’re over our halfway mark of this series… I wanted to branch out and do the not-so-average Christmas colours.  Pink & purple don’t scream Christmas, but they do say “sugar plums”!!  So we have bright & bold eyes with a soft pink lip to match.

The Inspiration:

The Look:

On The 5th Day of Christmas [Picture] Tutorial:

Cover your entire lid with NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil “MILK” as well as your under eye

Blend it all over & out

Using the neon pink in ELF’s 144 palette- start OUTSIDE the corner of your eye and then carry it over 3/4 of the lid.  As well as under your waterline below.

Now, you can use tape- but I prefer using an envelope or paper of some sort because putting tape on our skin messes with the elasticity of your skin [which will be very important in later years!!].  So take an envelope and create and angle from the outer corner of your eye, and just go up and out.

Then using the deepest purple [on the bottom row] pat your brush along the point where the envelope and your skin meet- thus creating a harsh line.  Also bring the purple 1/4 of the way onto your lid.

Then blend where the 2 colours meet.  Also blend the purple to follow your crease all the way to the corner of your inner eye [do this very lightly though- a soft effect].

Then using the same purple and an angled brush- create a thick eyeliner line.  And also take the purple and put it under your waterline to meet the pink.

Now using the top champaign colour in the ELF palette- highlight your brow bone.

Now for liner- wing out the top to follow your purple straight line & the bottom is going to wing out as well.

Now take NYX “MILK” eye pencil and with a small angled brush pop it into the small fish tail we created with the eyeliner & blend it outwards.  After this- pop on eyelashes and you are done with your eyes!

As for your lips- put on NYX “FlLOWER” thin lip liner [keep in mind- if you want your lips to look fuller, put the liner right on the outside of you actual lip line] & then use MAC’s Prolongwear Lip Creme “OVERTIME” to create this soft lip.

As for the final touches- your cheeks are ONLY going to have MAC’s iridescent powder.  we really want a candied glowing look.

London Moore’s 12 Days of Christmas Special: And on the 6th Day of Christmas- COAL [Metallic Grays & Charcoal] Inspired Makeup Tutorial

London Moore’s 12 Days of Christmas Special:

…And on the 6th Day of Christmas…

I was completely horrible and therefore received COAL…. dun, dun, dun!! There is not much more to say about this look other than I did a DUO-SLAM… which I hardly ever do.  But I did “coal” inspired eyes with a NYX “pinky” lip.

On The 6th Day of Christmas [Picture] Tutorial:

Use NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil Milk on 3/4 of the lid & Black Bean on the last outer 1/4

Using a blending brush- blend the colours to mesh & fade out

Using NYX Smokey Eyes Palette- use their brightest white [bottom right] on the inner corner of your eye.  Pop it right onto the Milk eye pencil.   Also bring the colour all the way out to the left and down under your waterline as well.

Then do the same with the granit/charcoal colour [top right] & pop it onto the Black Bean eye pencil area.  Then blend it down under your waterline as well.

Now using the lightest gray colour in the palette [2nd from the right] pop it in the center where you have yet to put any shadow.  Then again, in the center under your waterline.

Now go through and so some SERIOUS blending!! Make it so that one colour just FADES into the next…  Also repeat this on the bottom [under your waterline].

Now to highlight under your brow-bone, use the champaign colour [top left] and just pop it right under your eyebrow- then blending this colour with all the rest- very subtly!!

Now put black eyeliner 1/2 the way ON your waterline & using the Milk jumbo eye pencil- do the other 1/2.  Where they meet- overlap some, it’ll naturally make the area gray.

Now using your liquid liner- do your eyeliner on top- and wing it out [but slightly]

Now using whatever sort of glitter eyeliner you have- trace it across your black liner.  We want glitter flecks here- not a solid line.

Now dab your liner onto a surface [I used my wrist] and using my 239 brush I am swirling the glitter around in hopes of only catching the glitter flecks and drying up all the liquid… I am then dabbing the glitter from the brush onto my lid.  Make the glitter even!! Don’t clump it all up…

For my lips- I wanted them to be a bit bigger and bolder, so with my lipliner I traced JUST OUTSIDE of my natural lip line… And then used NYX Jumbo Lip Pencil “Chaos” to fill in.

As for cheeks- I used the products listed below… But I’m using a palette I cannot for the life of me remember where it is from… But anyhow, the colour is a soft pink hue with some golden/peachy tones.  And then I put MAC’s iridescent powder all over it!

London Moore’s 12 Days of Christmas Special: And on the 7th Day of Christmas- A Holly Coloured Lip [the PERFECT Red Lipstick]

London Moore’s 12 Days of Christmas Special: And on the 7th Day of Christmas- A Holly Coloured Lip [the PERFECT Red Lipstick]

London Moore’s 12 Days of Christmas Special:

…And on the 7th Day of Christmas…

A Holly coloured lipstcik!!  Holly actually hurts like hell… Ha.  I made the fatal mistake one year of thinking Holly was beautiful accessory to wear in your hair [like putting a pretty flower in your hair….], but as it turns out- it sucks.  The leaves are all pokey and throny…  However, speaking in theory here, holly berries are a beautiful bright red  that [in my imagination] when you burst open the berries a flowing gorgeous red gloss comes out. Ha.  Soooo, My favourite red lipstick is from MAC and it is called “Ruby Woo”.

I love this lipstick so much that when I thought I had lost it in my flat in London- not only did I leave my dinner on the stovetop in order to search for it, but I also recruited all of my flatemates to help me in my search!!  Plus… I burned my dinner.  However, it was totally worth it to find my lipstick!!
